It was so nice to hear from many of you that you do read my blog, and I am happy to keep it going just for you. Please share the link with your friends and fellow dancers, it is nice to have readers from other clubs share ideas.
For those of you who are wondering, Yes, Doug and I got married on Halloween..... wedding pic below. We had a very different type of wedding with different music, theme dances and square dancing. Berry Chumbley from the Napanee club came out and DJ'd for us and everyone seemed to really enjoy themselves. We had 93 people come out to watch us "Tie the Knot" and only 4% did not dress in Halloween costume... it was a great day.....
The Quinte Twirlers have now settled into their new home at the Westminster United Church. Although we had low numbers for the Annual Pie & Toy night, the Quinte West firemen still left with a pie and a truck load of toys for the toy drive.
We will be having our annual Christmas dinner and dance on Wednesday December 8th, catered by BBQ on Wheels again this year. These guys Rock! They make the best turkey dinner..... (oops, sorry Mom).... Tickets are $20 a person and the night kicks off at 6:30 pm. This will be our last dance for 2010.
This Friday night our caller Wayne Whatman will be in Napanee calling for the Pioneers, 7:30 p.m. This dance will be at the St. Mary Magdalene Church just off Bridge St. Admission is $6, there will be a sale of homemade treats and a clothing exchange. Refreshments to follow the dance.
Napanee Pioneers will be having their Christmas dinner and dance on Friday, December 10th. I will have to get more info on this one.
